The 15th International Exhibition on Woodworking Machinery and Equipment (VietnamWood 2023) will take place from September 20 to 23 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC).
The exhibition is jointly organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Handicraft and Wood Industry Association (HAWA) in collaboration with Yorkers Trade & Marketing Service Co., Ltd. According to the organizers, the event will feature more than 320 exhibitors from 28 countries and territories.
Representatives from Yorkers Trade & Marketing Service Co., Ltd. stated that this year’s exhibition will focus on smart factory solutions, upgrading and integrating independent machinery into production lines to reduce the rate of defective products and enhance overall production efficiency.
Prior to the event, Mr. Nguyen Chanh Phuong, Vice Chairman of HAWA, stated that the Vietnamese wood industry has recently shown many positive signals. From May to the present, Vietnamese wood industry businesses have been exporting approximately $1.2 billion worth of products each month. In addition to exports, Vietnam also imports a significant amount of raw wood materials and machinery and equipment.
Since 2018, under the pressure of meeting international standards, wood industry businesses have been investing in machinery and equipment. However, compared to advanced countries, the quantity and quality of machinery in domestic factories are still limited.
VietnamWood 2023 provides an opportunity for businesses to explore and gather information about modern equipment, advanced technologies, and premium materials in the industry. With the participation of 320 businesses from 28 countries and territories, the event will showcase machinery and technology providers in wood processing, including primary processing, surface treatment, furniture accessories, hardware, locks, and other accessories.
In addition to the exhibition, VietnamWood 2023 will feature a live-streamed event with the theme ‘Latest Technology’ and a series of wood technology seminars focusing on four key issues related to the wood processing industry today. These include proactive production – simplified operation, green factories aiming for carbon neutrality, equipment health – smart maintenance, EUDR, and green supply chains.
