In October 2023, prefabricated construction faced a decline of 36.7%, slightly more pronounced than the average for other construction methods.

Out of the 4,053 single and two-family houses approved, 968 were prefabricated, constituting 23.9% of the total. This decline signals a nuanced shift in the market, as the proportion of prefabricated buildings slightly decreased compared to the same period last year.

Out of 47,755 single and two-family houses approved from January to October, 24.2% were prefabricated. Although a slight decrease in proportion is observed, prefabricated construction continues to hold its ground amidst challenging market conditions.

Multi-Family Housing Sector

The challenges in construction demand extend to the multi-family housing sector, where a total of 10,801 apartment buildings were approved from January to October. Of these, only 754 were prefabricated.

The overall decline in approved apartment buildings stands at 31.4%, while prefabricated apartment buildings witnessed a comparatively modest decline of 20.5%. Consequently, the proportion of prefabricated apartment buildings increased to 7%, showcasing resilience in this segment.
