Find Solutions to Flourish Wood Exports

The growth rate is not the same as last year, so the wood industry is looking for solutions to reach the export target of 17.5 billion USD.

According to businesses, the differences in recent orders are short production time, small order size and diverse product structure. In particular, buyers also pay attention to their designs and competitive prices, forcing businesses to transform more strongly.

Experience from the Ho Chi Minh City Handicraft and Wood Processing Association, trade promotion activities are an important channel for businesses to get orders in the new era.

For example, the most difficult time for the wood industry was at the beginning of this year, when 20% of business orders came from exhibitions. This is also the reason why the largest furniture and interior design fair ever with 3,000 booths was held in March 2024 in Ho Chi Minh City.

Currently, many key markets have begun to increase purchases again such as the US, Europe, Korea, Middle East… especially with some product groups such as kitchen cabinets, wood chips…
