At the heart of the Lunar New Year shopping festival, TavicoHome takes center stage as it fervently champions the comprehensive Wood Ecosystem, meticulously navigating the journey from raw materials to exquisite finished products. With a keen foresight into market dynamics, this endeavor is poised to meet and exceed the anticipated surge in demand, setting the stage for a flourishing year ahead in 2024.
Commencing on the morning of December 23, the Lunar New Year shopping extravaganza was initiated at TavicoHome—The Wood and Furniture Hub in Dong Nai, marking a pivotal moment in the lineup of TavicoHome Viefurn 365 Fair events scheduled for 2024.
Vo Quang Ha, Chairman of Tan Vinh Cuu Joint Stock Company (TAVICO), conveyed expectations for the Lunar New Year shopping festival to foster connections among manufacturers, partners, and both local and global customers. Simultaneously, he foresees it propelling commerce for the TavicoHome Viefurn 365 Fair series in 2024.
Over an extended period, Tavico has made substantial investments in the legal and sustainable wood ecosystem. Mr. Ha notes that the historical absence of resource concentration in Vietnam’s wood production and processing chain has hindered the manufacture and processing of wood products for both domestic and export markets.
Mr. Vo Van Phi, Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Dong Nai Province, emphasized the substantial impact of the wood processing industry on the economic growth of Dong Nai and Vietnam. This sector has not only contributed significantly to the local economy but has also generated numerous employment opportunities for residents.
At present, Dong Nai stands as one of Vietnam’s foremost provinces in the wood processing industry. Together, Dong Nai and Binh Duong provinces contribute significantly, representing 65-70% of the overall export value of wood products in the nation.
The Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Dong Nai Province reports that wood products originating from Dong Nai have successfully reached 88 countries and territories. The primary export destinations include the United States (64.5%), Japan (12.3%), and South Korea (11.2%).
Mr. Phan Nhat Truong, Head of the Event Organization Committee, reported that the Lunar New Year shopping festival has successfully drawn the participation of over 150 domestic and international businesses. The event boasts more than 1,000 exhibition booths dedicated to showcasing a wide array of wood products, materials, and related items in the wood industry.
Strategically situated on Dieu Xien Street, Tan Bien District, Bien Hoa City, the Lunar New Year shopping festival is conveniently positioned, approximately 1 km from National Highway 1. Covering an expansive area of 1200 square meters with ample auxiliary spaces, the venue is designed to facilitate the seamless display, loading and unloading, packaging, and transportation of goods to and from various provinces and cities across the country.
The Lunar New Year shopping festival seeks to generate community impact with its “Creative Arts Corner,” showcasing items crafted from wood and sawdust by children with disabilities. All proceeds from this initiative will be donated to the charitable fund of Saint John of God Hospital, Bien Hoa.
TAVICO, through this festival, aims to actively boost the commercial activities of Dong Nai province, stimulate year-end consumer demand, and play a role in advancing the sustainable development of the Vietnamese wood industry.
The festival is scheduled to continue until February 4, 2024, with an anticipated attendance of around 10,000 visitors and shoppers.
