The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), the U.S. Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), and the U.S. Forest Service, with the support of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), in coordination with the Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) under the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), are organizing a workshop to provide members of the business community in Vietnam with information on the roles of CBP and USDA in enforcing the U.S.-Vietnam Timber Agreement, the Lacey Act, wood identification technology, as well as legal determinations regarding timber.
