The 1st Vietnam – ASEAN International Fine Arts and Furniture Fair

With the goal of building Ho Chi Minh City to become a center for trade promotion of furniture, interior and exterior of ASEAN region, Lien Minh Wood Handicraft Joint Stock Company cooperates with Vietnam Federation of Industry and Trade – The Ho Chi Minh City Branch (VCCI-HCM) and the Vietnam Coconut Association held the 1st Vietnam ASEAN International Furniture and Fine Arts Export Fair – VIFA ASEAN 2023 taking place from August 29 to August 20. VIFA ASEAN 2023 with the theme: “The convergence of Southeast Asian interior quintessence” will bring together many reputable domestic manufacturers, wood processors and fine arts from Ho Chi Minh City and the provinces: Binh Duong, Dong Nai , Binh Dinh, Binh Phuoc, Hanoi, Thanh Hoa, Nam Dinh, Khanh Hoa, Long An, Tien Giang, Ben Tre… and countries and territories: the United States, Korea, China, Japan, India , Netherlands, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia…

According to Mr. Dang Quoc Hung, General Director of Lien Minh Wood Handicraft Joint Stock Company, although it was held for the first time, especially in the current difficult economic context, VIFA ASEAN 2023 has attracted nearly 200 businesses. participating industry. with 600 exhibition booths and more than 2,000 international visitors registered to visit.

At VIFA ASEAN 2023, there are many diverse product lines on display from many countries: Interior and exterior wood products (sofa, table, chair, bed, cabinet, shelf for living room, dining room, bedroom). , kitchen, garden…), decorative products, handicrafts (lacquer, ceramics, bamboo and rattan, papyrus, carpet…), decorative lights, wood materials, machinery and equipment equipment and accessories… serving the wood processing industry and handicrafts for export.

Mr. Tran Ngoc Liem, Director of VCCI-HCM, said that wood processing is one of the seven sectors that ASEAN countries cooperate with and the exhibition is an effective trade promotion channel and an opportunity for industry enterprises to seek and develop more domestic market when the demand for imported wood products in this area tends to increase, up to many billion USD/year.

VIFA ASEAN 2023 is held together with a series of major furniture fairs in Asia, including: KOFURN – Korea International Furniture & Furniture Fair (August 24, 2023); VIFA ASEAN – Vietnam Furniture & Fine Arts Export International Fair (August 29 – September 1, 2023); CIFF Shanghai – CIFF Shanghai International Furniture Fair (September 5-8, 2023), Maison Shanghai – Shanghai Interior Decoration Fair (September 11-14, 2023) ; China Furniture Fair – China Furniture (September 11-15, 2023); IFFINA – Indonesia Furniture and Design Exhibition (September 14 to 17, 2023).
